"I am the pastor of a church of about 100 people. My congregation mentioned church safety and I brought it up to the board. Every one was on board with pursuing church safety training, but the church could not afford it. The following week, I mentioned the outcome to the congregation during my pre-sermon announcements, and I could see the disappointment on the faces of the congregation. They banded together and demanded safety training for the church. When I told them the church simply could not afford it, they offered to pay for it themselves. I started doing research into concealed carry classes around my small town. Some instructors were charging an outrageous amount of money for the class. I stumbled upon SafeGuard Investigations and Consultants, but they were about 2 hours away from where we are. I called Mike to inquire about his class. He told me he charges $50 per person for scheduled classes and $65 per person for private classes. I told him where we were located and I have 70 people wanting to take this class. I told him we could hold the class in the fellowship hall of the church and we could do the shooting portion at my house, which is right outside of town, as I have quite a bit of land. He agreed to do the class for $50 per person. He drove 2 hours, early on a Saturday morning to set up. He got here about 7am and we began at 8am. 70 member of the church were in attendance. The church provided a pot-luck lunch that day. We all got done with the class room part at about 3:30pm and convoyed to my house. He was clear and concise on how the range needed to be so we all joined together to set it up how he needed it. The first shot was fired at about 4:15pm. I forgot to mention how cold it was! It was about 20 degrees and there were periods of light freezing rain. We set up halogen lights from my garage, car headlights in the yard and yard lights when it started to get dark. The last shot was fired around 8:30 that night. And Mike never complained! Yes, he was cold. He was obviously tired, but he worked tirelessly and professionally with everyone! 70 people passed!

This is not the end of my story: several times, Mike has come back out to our church in our small town to give us additional church safety training, at our request. Every time, Mike does what he does; treats people like his friends. His instruction tactics have, by far, exceeded our expectations! Not everyone at the church carries a firearm. Mike says "that's ok, and that's your right". He treats them with just as much respect as the person who has paid for his services.

After the concealed carry class and several church safety courses, I can honestly say we are probably one of the most armed, most capable, most defended churches in the USA! Nobody is going to come in here and cause havoc or create mass chaos. We will defend ourselves and the people we love against those who desire to cause us physical harm. We believe in our right to self preservation and self defense and we believe it's a Biblical principal. For physical weapon, there's a physical weapon. For spiritual warfare, there's the Word of God."
