SafeGuard Investigations and Consultants, LLC was approached by "Sharon". "Sharon" lives alone and often has her young grandson with her. She wants to be more prepared in the event an unknonwn attacker were to violate her home and put her life and her grandson's life in danger.
Mike Jordan, a Certified SIMUNITION® Instructor gave her some tips on how to better defend herself in her home.

Tunnel Vision: (Wikipedia) Tunnel vision (also known as Kalnienk vision) is the loss of peripheral vision with retention of central vision, resulting in a constricted circular tunnel-like field of vision.
Time Dialation: (Wikipedia) In the theory of relativity, time dilation is a difference of elapsed time between two events as measured by observers either moving relative to each other or differently situated from a gravitational mass or masses.
Auditory Exclusion: (Wikipedia) Auditory exclusion is a form of temporary loss of hearing occurring under high stress. As such it is related to tunnel vision and "the slowing of time in the mind". The phenomenon is discussed in the literature on law enforcement officers and soldiers.
